Anyone can be a Soup Sister and a Broth Brother!
Simply join Soup Sisters Penticton in one of our soup-making sessions at Brodo Kitchen that will provide hundreds of litres of soup to SOWINS.
The soups on in Penticton! Soup Sisters Penticton launched on Monday, February 16, 2015 in partnership with the Brodo Kitchen and in support of the South Okanagan Women in Need Society.
Roll up your sleeves to make delicious, nutritious soups for SOWINS in the renowned comfort of Brodo Kitchen. Join 16 to 20 participants to lovingly preparing 200 servings of soup under the professional guidance and enthusiastic leadership of Chef Paul Cecconi, Executive Chef and Owner of Brodo Kitchen.
The concept is simple. Soup Sisters and Broth Brothers are year-round programs where participants pay a $55 registration fee to participate in a soup-making event at a local professional kitchen under the guidance of a chef facilitator. Each event produces approximately 150-200 servings of nourishing soup that are delivered fresh to a local shelter. Events are social evenings with lively conversation, chopping, laughter and warm kitchen camaraderie that culminate in a simple, sit-down supper of soup, salad, bread and wine for all participants.
