Bad Date Reporting
Have you or someone you know in the sex trade had a negative experience with a client?
We would like to support the safety of people working in the sex trade by informing the community about potentially dangerous or negative clients in the Penticton area and the Okanagan. Reports are submitted to SAFExst to be assembled and distributed to a network of individuals and organizations who support people working in the sex industry.
If you have experienced or are aware of any bad dates, you can report them to a SAFExst support worker or through the SAFExst website. The report is 100% anonymous and you do not have to give any personal details.
The report is a description of the bad date so that an alert can be sent out to notify other people working in the sex trade about possible safety hazards. The report is posted at the SAFExst Centre, the Mobile Outreach Van, and can also be sent to other organizations to inform as many people as possible.
Some of the information asked in Bad Date Reports can include:
- Date of incident
- A description of what happened
- Appearance of client
- Description of the car, location, or any other distinguishing features
You can fill out as much or as little of the report as you like.
SAFExst support workers can also assist you in making an anonymous police report if you want.
Bad date report forms can be picked up or filled out at the SAFExst Centre or with the Mobile Outreach Van
You can use the form available online here, or phone in your report.
