Harm Reduction Based Services
connecting our most vulnerable
Counselling Support for Transition House
SOWINS provides counselling and support to women in our Transition House, who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing abuse, and, who are at a heightened risk of substance-related overdose. The onsite Counsellor ensures a harm reduction approach is used within its services, provides harm reduction supplies, and provides one-on-one counselling for those who need support with substance use.

Mobile Outreach Van (MOV)
Supporting individuals experiencing complex barriers to health and social well-being, the SOWINS Mobile Outreach Van connects with some of the most vulnerable in the community.
The outreach van supports communities in the South Okanagan and out to Princeton.
We offer harm reduction-based services to support safe practices and overdose prevention, as well as resources for addressing barriers created by experiences of poverty, unsafe or unstable housing, trauma and/or violence, substance use, under-addressed mental health issues, engagement in survival sex work, and individual and systemic marginalization.
