SOWINS Counselling programs are free and confidential for women who have experienced or at risk of abuse. No referral is necessary.
SOWINS counselling programs provide a safe, supportive, compassionate, respectful, and confidential space to speak about your experiences and explore your options. We understand that abuse takes many forms and can look different for everyone. Abuse is more that physical and sexual, it can be verbal, emotional, psychological, or financial. It can appear in the form of cyber abuse, isolation, neglect, and coercion.
Services Include:
- Counseling: We provide a safe, supportive and confidential place to speak about the abuse you have experienced. We can help you to explore your options.
- Safety Planning: We can provide information about increasing your safety whether you choose to stay or leave a relationship and develop a safety plan.
- Advocacy Services: We can assist you with understanding and protecting your rights.
- Community Information and Referrals: We can provide information about other community programs.
