supporting female identifying youth aged 14 - 18
The SOWINS Transition House provides safe, emergency housing for youth at risk. These beds are designated for female identifying youth aged 14-18 years old.
This program offers a 24-hour crisis line, and the house is staffed 365 days a year, 24 hours a day so support is always there for you!
Our Transition House offers a comfortable bedroom suite that includes a private bathroom, microwave, fridge and all bed linens and toiletries.
There is a common dining space and a great room to relax and hang out.
Security is a priority at the SOWINS Transition House with the location being anonymous and heightened security at the house including 6-foot fencing and cameras around the property.
The SOWINS team understand that every person’s journey is at their own pace, so our focus is to walk beside you while you discover your answers. Some people have shorter term stays up to 30 days, while others may benefit from a longer stay, which could include moving into one of our Second stage housing units. We are here to provide emotion support, education, and referrals for physical and mental health care support, financial assistance, legal support, and housing supports, to assist you in your journey of finding your safe and stable home. During your stay you also have access to an on-site counselor.
SOWINS focus is on you and your children to ensure we provide everything we can to help you through your journey!
